Day-by-day itinerary
Marrakech – Imlil – Sidi Chhamharouch – Toubkal Refuge
Early morning pick-up from your Marrakech accommodation and drive (about 1.5 hours) to the village of Imlil (1,740 m), the starting point of all Toubkal expeditions. Meet your muleteer and guide, then begin the climb along the mule track above Imlil, passing through the Berber villages of Aroumd and Armud. Stop at the shrine of Sidi Chhamharouch, a popular pilgrimage site set in a narrow gorge. Continue the steady ascent through juniper and alpine meadows to the Neltner Refuge (3,207 m) at the foot of Toubkal. Dinner and overnight at the refuge.
