About this trip
The Day Trip to Ourika Valley is a refreshing full-day excursion from Marrakech into one of the most accessible and beautiful valleys of the High Atlas Mountains. Following the winding road up the Ourika river, you pass terraced fields, riverside Berber villages, and dramatic red-rock gorges to reach the village of Setti Fatma at the head of the valley. From there a gentle walk (about 2 hours round trip) leads up to a series of seven waterfalls cascading over the rocks. Along the way you visit a traditional Berber home, share mint tea with a local family, and enjoy lunch on a terrace overlooking the river. With only moderate walking at low altitude, this trip is ideal for families and anyone wanting a taste of the Atlas Mountains in a single day.
